Unable to download OS X El Capitan.

I am unable to download OS X El Capitan. When i go into the app store, it opens but nothing loads. It says "cannot connect to the app store". I am connected to the internet and able to browse everything else perfectly. Itunes is also an issue that won't download the new version. I have a MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) and running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. Any help would be appreciated.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), null

1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.

Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all lights are lit properly. It will take a while.

Restart the computer.

2. Delete Caches.db

Close all windows and quit all applications.

Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Select "Library" from the dropdown.

Library > Caches > com.apple.Safari > Caches.db

Right click the Caches.db file and select "Move To Trash”.

Close windows.

Restart and relaunch Safari.

3. Deselect Proxies if selected.

System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab
